La Liga Matchday 36 brings plenty of excitement and high stakes. Predictions tip Celta Vigo to secure a home win and possibly keep a clean sheet against Levante, who struggle to score away. Betis vs Elche is poised to be a close contest ending in a draw, with both teams likely to score. In Osasuna vs Atletico Madrid, expect an open game with both sides finding the net, thanks to Osasuna's strong homeform and Atletico's inconsistency on the road.

La Liga Predictions – Matchday 36
Celta Vigo vs Levante
Celta Vigo ended a five-match losing streak by beating Elche 3-1 and Atletico Madrid 1-0 away from home. They have had three goalless performances in their last seven matches, so their fans won’t know what to expect against a side fighting for their La Liga status.
Levante are battling to fight out of the relegation zone and they are pulling in the wins. The visitors have won three of their last five matches and have lost just twice in their last 10 outings. Celta Vigo’s home form is not good, losing four and winning just one of their last six matches.
Levante’s travelling performances are far from inspiring, winning just one in 10 and losing seven times, failing to score in five of those matches. With Celta in the running for a Champions League place if they can scrape some wins together I fancy them to pull a win out the bag with a clean sheet.
Betis vs Elche
Betis are close to securing Champions League football next season while Elche are one of five teams close enough to the drop zone to be uncertain about their future next season, so this should be a fierce scrap.
Elche have won five of their last eight matches and have been scoring consistently, while Betis have struggled to finish sides off. The home side have drawn five of their last eight matches at home and have won just twice in nine home fixtures.
Elche have lost eight of their last 10 matches on the road, but on the positive side they have picked up two wins in their last four matches away from home. With Elche battling for survival this has the feeling of a frantic score draw.
Osasuna vs Atletico Madrid
Osasuna are within one win of a place in Europe next season but will probably need two wins in their last three matches. With three losses in their last four matches they aren’t looking like strong candidates for the win against Atletico, although the visitors’ form belies their fourth place in La Liga and progress to the Champions League semi-final, where they lost to Arsenal by a single goal.
The visitors lost six of their last nine matches, going goalless in their last two matches. On the road the side from Madrid have lost six of their last eight matches, although they did pull off a 2-0 win away to Barcelona in the Champions League.
Osasuna’s home form has been good with just one loss (to Barcelona) in their last 10 matches at home, while pocketing five wins. My head says Osasuna to take the win, but Atletico are a dangerous side even during a losing streak. With both sides scoring plenty of goals in their last 10 matches I’m feeling the safest bet is to back both teams to score.
Verdict
We’re looking at a win for Celta Vigo, while Betis and Elche look set to share the points. Meanwhile the goals should flow between Osasuna and Atletico Madrid.
