Valencia vs Barcelona

Valencia have picked up just one point from their three matches in La Liga, scoring just one goal to four conceded. They have also lost their last two matches to nil.

Barcelona are in their usual dominant form, winning their last five matches in a row, scoring 19 goals to five. Valencia have lost four and drawn one of their last four matches at home, so there’s not even hope that home ground advantage might count in their favour.

Alaves vs Osasuna

Both sides have two wins and a draw from their first three matches in La Liga. Osasuna have a goal tally of 3-1 in those three matches while Alaves sit on a 5-2 goal advantage

Alaves have five wins and two draws in their last seven matches, so I’m backing that consistency to take them to the three points at home.

Malaga vs Levante

Malaga are winless in their last five matches, losing three times and scoring just four times and conceding 11. They’ve lost three and drawn two of their last five matches against Levante, but at home they are undefeated in nine matches, albeit with seven draws.

Levante’s form on the road isn’t great, with just two wins and five defeats in their last 10 matches on the road. Levante have been in decent form with four wins and a draw from their last seven matches, but their away form and Malaga’s strong home defence makes me veer towards a draw.

Espanyol vs Sevilla

Espanyol started the season with a 3-0 home win over Levante, only to lose their next two matches by 2-1 margins. They have lost three of their last four matches but have scored in each of their last 10 matches.

Sevilla lost their last match 3-1 at home to in-form Atletico Madrid but are well positioned in the table after winning their first two matches of the season. They have scored in each of their last seven matches, winning five and losing twice, so I’m backing both teams to score in a Sevilla win.

Verdict

Spanish La Liga

Valencia to lose big to Barcelona, while Alaves to edge out Osasuna.

Malaga and Levante to battle out a draw, with Sevilla to take the points away to Espanyol.
