Arsenal have a 2-1 advantage against PSG alongside three draws.
PSG Form
Paris Saint-Germain went on a ten game winning streak this year but have now won two of their previous six games. They claimed their fourth consecutive Ligue 1 title with six games to spare.
Luis Enrique is concentrating on the Champions League where they haven’t won in three matches. They conceded late in a 1-1 draw at Nantes before a 3-1 loss against Nice despite ending with 76% possession and 13-3 shots on target.
The Parisians beat Arsenal 1-0 in London to take the advantage in the Champions League semi-finals. Ousmane Dembele’s 4th minute goal was the difference in a close match where Gianluigi Donnarumma made some important saves.
PSG are coming off a 2-1 loss at Strasbourg where they had 20-9 shots. Enrique rotated his squad to prepare for the Arsenal clash.
Arsenal Form
Arsenal recently went unbeaten in 12 matches, the run featuring six wins and six draws. They got past Real Madrid in the Champions League round of 16, winning 3-0 in London and 2-1 in Spain.
The Gunners couldn’t keep it going in the semi-final first leg at the Emirates Stadium. Down in the 4th minute, they came close to equalising but couldn’t get past an inspired Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Mikel Arteta saw his side lose 2-1 against Bournemouth on Saturday. Declan Rice gave them a half-time lead but they couldn’t close it out, conceding two late goals.
Verdict
PSG are defending a 1-0 lead with a fresher squad and home advantage. I think the odds are favourable on the Ligue 1 champions who can win again in Paris.
