SA20 Squad Preview - Pretoria Capitals

Eathan Bosch picked up the rising star award last season, and he’s going to be put to the test in his new role of captaining the side, with Wayne Parnell stepping away from the captaincy to focus on his bowling. 

Proteas star paceman Anrich Nortje finished second on the SA20 wickets list with 20 scalps, but he had to pull out of the squad ahead of the season opener due to injury. Nortje was replaced by paceman Hardus Viljoen. Skipper Eathan Bosch (15 wickets) finished the season in fourth place and James Neesham (14) in fifth place on the SA20 wickets list. Adil Rashid, Migael Pretorius and Corbin Bosch will add punch to the attack of the Pretoria side as they look to avoid their disappointing performance in last season’s final. 

Their ability to roll sides over was a key factor in topping the league table with seven wins from 10 matches. Rilee Rossouw, Paul Stirling and Will Jacks are the side’s power hitters, backed by Colin Ingram, James Neesham and Kyle Verreynne.
