Durban’s Super Giants vs Sunrisers Eastern Cape Predictions

The Super Giants slipped off top spot after losing their first match of the season, a 17-run loss to the Capitals. Defending champions Sunrisers pulled off their first win of the season in a brilliant display of batting and bowling against MI Cape Town which moved them into third place on the table.

Durban’s Super Giants’ Heinrich Klaasen has scored 85, 13* & 64 in his 4 SA20 innings.
Durban’s Super Giants’ Matthew Breetzke has scored 39, 43 & 33 in his 4 SA20 innings.
Sunrisers Eastern Cape’s Jordan Hermann scored 106* in the win over MI Cape Town.
Sunrisers Eastern Cape’s Dawid Malan has scored 50, 87, 31 & 53 in his last 4 innings.

Head-to-Head

The teams have met three times, with one match abandoned and both sides claiming one win. The Super Giants won the group clash against Sunrisers earlier this season.

Durban’s Super Giants Form

After winning their first three games of the season, the Super Giants slipped up against the Capitals.

The Capitals racked up 204/9 off their 20 overs, with Reece Topley (3/34) the pick of the bowlers.

The Super Giants fell 17 runs short of their target, Matthew Breetzke top-scoring with 33 off 24 balls.

Durban’s Super Giants Team News

There are no injury reports from the Durban’s Super Giants squad.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape Form

After opening with an abandoned game and then a loss, Sunrisers picked up their first win with a four-run victory over, MI Cape Town.

Sunrisers smashed 202/2 off their 20 overs, Jordan Hermann scoring a brutal century (106 off 62 balls) and Dawid Malan contributing 53 off 37 balls.

MI Cape Town came close to hitting their target, but three vital wickets and a superb final over from Ottniel Baartman (3/35) saw the Sunrisers home.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape Team News

Sunrisers Eastern Cape have found form with the bat and ball and are unlikely to make any changes to their team.

Verdict

Durban’s Super Giants v Sunrisers Eastern Cape

I am backing Durban’s Super Giants to win. I am also backing Heinrich Klaasen to top score for Durban’s Super Giants.

Jordan Hermann is a good bet to top score for the Sunrisers Eastern Cape.
