Sunrisers Eastern Cape vs Pretoria Capitals Predictions

Sunrisers are well-placed to move into second spot after picking up two wins in a row. The Capitals are stuck on the bottom of the table after picking up just one win and three losses this season.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape’s Tristan Stubbs has scored 55, 11* & 66* in his last 3 innings.
Sunrisers Eastern Cape’s Aiden Markram has scored 29 & 38 in his last 3 innings.
Pretoria Capitals’ Kyle Verreynne top-scored with 72* in the loss to the Super Kings.
Pretoria Capitals’ Will Jacks has scored 58 & 101 in his last 3 innings.

Head-to-Head

The Capitals won both of their group matches against the Sunrisers last season, but the Sunrisers beat the Capitals in the final.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape Form

The Sunrisers made it two wins in a row when they beat the Super Giants by five wickets.

The Super Giants scored 159/7 off their 20 overs, Simon Harmer (4/18) knocking over their top order.

The Sunrisers knocked off the winning runs with four balls and five wickets to spare. Tristan Stubbs scored a magnificent 66* off 37 balls to lead his side to victory.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape Team News

There are no injury reports from the Sunrisers Eastern Cape squad.

Pretoria Capitals Form

The Capitals lost their opening two matches before picking up their first win, but they lost their next game to the Super Kings.

The Capitals scored 167/9 off their 20 overs, Kyle Verreynne (72* off 52 balls) the only batter to pass 22.

The Super Kings needed just 18 overs to knock off the winning runs, Will Jacks returning figures of 2/26.

Pretoria Capitals Team News

The Capitals need a lot more consistency from their batters and bowlers if they have any chance of making it through to the playoff stages.

Verdict

Sunrisers Eastern Cape v Pretoria Capitals

I am backing Sunrisers Eastern Cap to win. I am also backing Tristan Stubbs to top score for Sunrisers Eastern Cape.

Kyle Verreynne is a good bet to top score for the Pretoria Capitals.

Sunrisers Win
