Paarl Royals at home should have an advantage over the Pretoria Capitals, especially in the absence of star paceman Anrich Nortje, who will miss the entire SA20 season for the Capitals. The Royals have had a good warm-up on home turf and have an in-form batting and bowling line-up

After sneaking into the semi-final last year, the Royals restricted the Capitals to just 153/8 off their 20 overs.  

Andile Phehlukwayo starred with the ball, returning 3/29 to put his side in contention for a place in the final.

The Royals never got going in their chase and were bowled out off 19 overs, with David Miller top-scoring with 31.

Pretoria Capitals Form


The Capitals topped the log at the end of the group stages, and put Paarl Royals away comfortably in the semi-final to claim a place in the final. 

In the final, the Capitals were bowled out for 135 off 19/3 overs, with only Kusal Mendis (21) making it into the 20s.

Sunrisers raced to the win off 16.2 overs, despite excellent bowling from Anrich Nortje (2/21).
